Urban Wildlife Refuge on Fox Court

Urban Wildlife Refuge on Fox Court

Photo of Evening Grosbeak, 6 were in the yard on Saturday. First time I ever saw one. They look like a small parrot, much bigger than the Western Gold Finch, the Washington State Bird.

I applied for an Urban Wild Life designation. I guess the animals know because since my sign arrived we’ve been visited by:

A baby moose
A gros of Evening Grosbeaks
2 mourning doves
A pair of gray squirrels
A flock of crows
A covey of quails
A flock of Western Goldfinches
A flock of Household finches
A Harlan Hawk
a Black capped Chickadee
A nuthatch
4 juncos on the way south to Oregon

Waking up to bird song and sunshine, spring can’t be far off!
