Ending the Second Year of Piano Lessons

Prayer is when you talk to God. Meditation is when you’re listening. Playing the piano allows you to do both at the same time.

I have almost completed my daughter’s level 1 book.  I hope to be in level 2 by late fall.  The language of music has expanded for me.  I can read and play sharps, flats, staccatos, legatos, harmonic intervals, timing signatures, and see note patterns.  My teacher reminds me though, that my adult brain has to be patient with my toddler fingers as they struggle to find the keys and strike them in the correct pattern.
